Beyond The Ordinaries is a workshop looking at how we can re-imagine everyday objects using Physical and Visual Computing. We taught a group of students technical and concept development skills. The students were fantastic and inspiring to work with. We hope to see more of their clever and imaginative work in the future.

The final 3 projects that were presented include:

Wearable persistence of vision system that enables a user to draw butterfly wings by flapping their arms.

Audio playback system that responds to the audience's position by modulating the volume and giving visual feedback.

Interactive dining set which emits a unique pattern of light depending on the weight of food or drink inside. It enables you to identify your own plate or glass when at a party.
